Balance Yoga for your mind, body and breath. For all ages and abilities.

Balance strength with flexibility

Balance movement with stillness

My yoga journey began in the student union in the late 1990s. I’ve been practicing ever since with teachers all over the world as life took me to new places. After starting a family I noticed my children copying my practice so I decided to train in London with the Special Yoga Foundation where I completed their course Teaching Yoga and Mindfulness to Children (2017), followed by Enchanted Wonders’ How to Enhance Children’s Expression Through Yoga. I started to teach in schools, pre-schools and private settings. I then completed the Evolve Yoga 200 hr teacher training (2019) and in 2020 completed a specialist Yoga for Amputees training.

Yoga has helped me to recover from and manage snowboarding injuries (several slipped discs and a complete ACL rupture). Yoga is also essential in my daily life as a working mum. My personal experiences mean I am passionate about sharing yoga with children, teaching yoga asana which balances strength and flexibility for good physical health and, most importantly, using yoga techniques to balance overall wellbeing.

I continue to learn from other teachers and my students and attend yoga workshops and teacher trainings as often as I can. Post-injury I am returning to running and cycling and love finding new sequences to work into any tight spots while also strengthening muscles that will help support safe movement.

I will be back on a snowboard in 2021, but perhaps a little less gnarly…
